The Bank has a vision to catalyse a fairer, more sustainable and ambitious Scotland and it is a privilege to contribute to this. As part of the investment team it’s wonderful to have the opportunity to work directly with entrepreneurs, management teams and co-investors that we can help deliver this vision. I particularly enjoy the wide range of opportunities we engage with from high growth technology business aligned to our innovation mission to large infrastructure projects delivering on our net zero ambition. There are some excellent businesses in the portfolio which I am excited to see develop supported by the Bank’s long term patient capital approach. 

The Bank has become an important part of the Scottish investment ecosystem in a short period of time and I look forward to building on that activity not only through further investment but by supporting the Bank’s insight and impact activity. There is a very positive culture within the organisation underpinned by talented and motivated individuals with whom it is a pleasure to work alongside.
